Switzerland takes over the chairmanship of Eureka
Since 1 July 2025, Switzerland assumes the chairmanship of the Eureka network. This intergovernmental initiative promotes transnational cooperation in innovation. The handover took place during the Eureka Network Meeting held in Montreal on 11–13 June by the current Canadian-German Eureka Co-Chair.

Switzerland is taking over the role of presiding over the Eureka network for a period of one year. Mandated by the Swiss Federal Council, Innosuisse will be responsible for this mission and will steer the network’s activities during this period.
A rotating chairmanship
Founded in 1985, Eureka now brings together more than 45 countries, as well as the European Commission. Each year, a member country holds the rotating chairmanship, which provides an opportunity to shape the network’s strategic priorities and guide its activities.
Swiss presidency coordinated by Innosuisse
The symbolic handover in Montreal is the first highlight of a year of chairmanship coordinated by Innosuisse. The programme for the Swiss Chair was presented at the meeting in Canada. The focus will be on added value for members and clients, managing an impact-driven funding portfolio and pursuing operational efficiency.
