Forthcoming reorganisation of the Innosuisse Office
In order to ensure the continued efficient use of resources dedicated to innovation support, Innosuisse is proactively restructuring its Office (Geschäftsstelle / secrétariat). This only concerns the Office in Berne and has no effect on funding offers, processes or criteria.
In light of the agency’s strong contributions to the Swiss innovation landscape over the past years and its steady growth, this reorganisation aims to enhance the agency’s agility and strengthen its ability to respond effectively to stakeholder needs, as well as to shifts in the political and economic environment. The new structure has been designed to be more client-focused, to promote the sharing of best practices across different client groups, and to consolidate similar support offers. In doing so, it is expected to generate significant synergies between our instruments and to further increase their overall impact.
This organisational change is planned to take effect in January 2026. The current organisation will remain in place until the end of the year.
The most significant changes will occur at the senior management level. The reorganisation will reduce the number of divisions and members of the Executive Committee from six to four.
The three current funding divisions will be merged into two new divisions: one focusing on all types of project and programme funding (including international projects), and another focusing on advisory services, networking, and strategy (including Start-up Coaching, Innovation Mentoring, Matchmaking and Internationalisation Advice, Innovation Boosters, Entrepreneurship Training, etc.). Human Resources (currently Talent and Organisation Development) will no longer operate as a separate division. The Finance and Operations division will remain broadly unchanged.
In brief, from January 2026, the four divisions will be:
- Directorate incl. HR
- Business division 1: Project and Programme Funding
- Business division 2: Advisory Services, Networks and Strategy
- Finances and Operations
