Innosuisse funds 33 projects as part of the Swiss Accelerator as a transitional measure for Horizon Europe
In 2023, Innosuisse launched a new call for applications for the Swiss Accelerator. Following a three-stage evaluation process, the Swiss Innovation Agency has now approved 33 innovation projects from SMEs and start-ups with significant innovation potential. The funding awarded amounts to 60.4 million Swiss francs in total.

Innosuisse has carried out this call for projects due to Switzerland's non-association to Horizon Europe. Swiss SMEs and start-ups were able to apply for direct financial support for innovation projects with significant innovation potential. Innosuisse received 373 short applications. Following the initial assessment, 91 companies went on to submit a full application. Of these, 45 made it to the final round to pitch their application orally.
The aim of the projects is to develop and scale novel products and services with significant innovation potential. This should accelerate the growth of highly innovative Swiss companies. Innosuisse will not launch any further calls for projects for the Swiss Accelerator in 2024.
